How to Get a VPS: A Step-by-Step Guide

I’m going to teach you how to get a VPS. There are both a one-day and a seven-day plan available. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to get started. If you’re not yet subscribed, please consider subscribing, commenting on this video, and leaving a like as it really helps a lot. In addition to VPS tutorials, I also cover games, FiveM tutorials, HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and much more. Over the next few days, I’ll be posting various programming tutorials and useful tips. Let’s get started with the tutorial on how to create a VPS account.

Step 1: Create an Account

  1. Visit the Website: Go to the CPS Server website. Click on the first result that appears.
  2. Start VPS Trial: Click on the green button that says "Start VPS Trial."
  3. Fill in Your Details: Enter your details and submit. Once you do this, you should receive a verification that your account has been successfully created.
  4. Verify Your Email: You’ll need to verify your email address. Check your email for a verification link. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam folder. Click on the verification link to activate your account.

Step 2: Create Your VPS

  1. Choose a Location: Log in to your account and select a VPS location. For those in Europe, Amsterdam is a good choice since it offers the trial option.
  2. Select an Operating System: Choose the operating system you prefer. You can select either Linux or Windows. For this tutorial, we’ll choose Windows 2019 or 2022.
  3. Select VPS Specifications: Choose the specifications for your VPS. The free trial typically offers options with 8GB RAM, 8GB CPU, and 160GB disk space.
  4. Complete the Setup: Click "Next" and review your selections. You may see options for a one-day trial or a seven-day trial. If you don’t see the one-day trial, you might need to pay a small fee for the seven-day trial.

Step 3: Connect to Your VPS

  1. Check VPS Status: Wait for the status of your VPS to change from "Pending" to "Running." This can take up to 20 minutes.
  2. Get Your IP Address: Once the VPS is running, you’ll receive the IP address. If you don’t get an email, refresh the page until you see the IP address displayed.
  3. Remote Desktop Connection: On your computer, search for "Remote Desktop Connection" and open it.
  4. Enter VPS IP Address: In the Remote Desktop Connection window, enter the IP address of your VPS and click "Connect."
  5. Enter Credentials: Enter the username and password provided by the VPS provider. If you haven’t received these details, check your VPS dashboard for the credentials.
  6. Complete Connection: Click "OK" and then "Yes" if prompted to trust the remote connection.

Step 4: Set Up and Use Your VPS

  1. Disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security: To install applications, disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration.
  2. Install Software: Use Internet Explorer to download and install Google Chrome or another browser of your choice.
  3. Customize Your VPS: Install any applications or servers you need. With 8GB of RAM and a robust CPU, this VPS is powerful enough to host servers, run websites, or test software safely.

Performance Check

  • Internet Speed Test: Run a speed test to check the internet speed of your VPS. You should see speeds ranging from 500 Mbps to over 700 Mbps, depending on the server and location.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can easily create and set up a VPS for free for a limited time. This VPS is perfect for hosting a server, running a website, or testing software safely without risking your main computer.
