Creating a Virtual Machine with Hyper-V

    • Select Hyper-V Quick Create.

  2. Create the Virtual Machine:

    • In Hyper-V Quick Create, you can choose from pre-configured options (such as Ubuntu distributions or a Windows 11 development environment) or use a local ISO.
    • To use a local ISO, select "Local installation source" and browse for the ISO file of the operating system you want to install.
    • After selecting the ISO, click Create Virtual Machine.

  3. Configure and Start the VM:

    • The tool will download the image (if necessary) and configure the virtual machine.
    • Click Connect and then Start to launch the VM.
    • You can edit the VM settings, such as memory, processor, and disk, by clicking "Edit settings" before starting.

Important Considerations

  • System Resources: The performance of virtual machines depends on the available resources of your system, such as CPU, RAM, and disk space. Ensure your computer has sufficient resources to support multiple VMs.
  • Screen Resolution: Adjust the screen resolution settings as needed for better VM usage.
  • Using Different ISOs: You can install any operating system compatible with Hyper-V using ISO files downloaded from reliable sources.

Using Hyper-V Manager

To manage your virtual machines, you can use the Hyper-V Manager:

  1. Open Hyper-V Manager:

    • In the Start menu, type "Hyper-V Manager".
    • Select Hyper-V Manager to open the management interface.

  2. Manage VMs:

    • In Hyper-V Manager, you will see all the virtual machines you have created.
    • Select a VM and use the menu options to start, stop, configure, or delete the virtual machine.
